Hi! my name is Maggie Yates, I am a Certified Athletic Trainer and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and most importantly a wife, and a mother of two beautiful girls.

I look at a lot of blogs that say, "I am not an expert, but..."; my "but" is I am an expert. I am starting this blog because I always have friends asking me questions and for advice, workouts, diets, so why not write a blog!

A little (or a lot) about me....

I used to work as a personal trainer. I have taught everything from, spinning, muscle conditioning classes, mat pilates, to speed camps. I used to train and compete in triathlons as well as coached adults achieve their goals of completing/ racing in triathlons. I grew up competing in swimming, which led to swimming in college. I have coached almost every level of competitive swimming. I love sports, and most of all I love to ski and I love yoga!!! As a Certified Athletic Trainer, I am trained in injury prevention, injury evaluation, rehabilitation of injuries and corrective exercises. I have a strong background in nutrition, partially from self-interest, partially form education. I also just love to work out!

I try most fitness, and nutrition trends. And have my own opinions of things, and what I like. With all things that come and go, I have 2 constants: swimming, and yoga! I used to hate running and now have a strong-like (not love) for it.

So on this blog I would like to share advice, my opinions, recipes, exercise routines and recommendations for anything health and fitness related.
